Fantasy Baseball: 10 Base Stealers to Target for 2018

Base stealers are hard to come by in roto leagues. The following 10 players will help take care of that problem.

The art of the stolen base is dying.

In 1987, there were 3,585 bags swiped in the Majors and 32 players who stole more than 30 bags that season. Vince Coleman led them all with 109 steals.

Last year, with four additional teams in existence, there were only 2,527 stolen bases in baseball. Just six players tole at least 30 bases in 2017, part of a sabermetrically-induced trend that emphasizes players avoid making unnecessary outs on the bases.

So for fantasy baseball owners participating in roto leagues in 2018, finding those players who can fill up the stolen base category may be even more important than finding sluggers. Here are 10 players who can help you in this still-important category.
