Mike Trout is a guy who is pretty much in play every night because he's, you know, the best player in baseball.

But even as a contrarian tournament play, it's hard to get excited about him against Justin Verlander tonight. Verlander has been filthy in the second half, posting a 3.17 SIERA, 31.0% strikeout rate, and 5.7% walk rate. Those are truly ace-level marks, and the Los Angeles Angels are going to have their hands full tonight. The only have a 3.53 implied team total tonight.

With Trout, you always know he's a threat for a big night, but on a full 15-game slate, this is probably the time to pass unless you're mass multi-entering a tournament.
