Kike Hernandez, SS, Los Angeles Dodgers

Sometimes it's all about what your other options are in DFS. At this price, Kike Hernandez is very much a viable punt if he's in the lineup against Matt Moore (4.80 SIERA). Hernandez seldom plays, but has a massive 41.9% hard-hit rate and .384 wOBA this year against southpaws.

However, he qualifies at shortstop, which would normally seem like a good thing, except we can get his far superior teammate Corey Seager for just $800 more. Sure, it's a lefty-lefty matchup, but Seager scoffs at such things, holding a career 43.6% hard-hit rate and .357 wOBA against southpaws. Additionally, Hernandez is always at risk to be removed from the game if a righty comes in, potentially taking away precious at-bats.

You can still consider using Hernandez as a secondary fill-in for tournaments, but based strictly on value, you're much better off taking Seager.
