Stephen Strasberg

Stephen Strasburg is the biggest wild card (and likely has the worst chance out of anyone to win the award) on this list. The other ace of the Nationals has been an excellent pitcher this year, as per usual, but comes with major injury concerns, also as per usual.

He's 10-3, with a 3.25 ERA in 20 starts. He is striking out a ton of batters (28.1%, fifth in the NL), and boasts a solid 7.4% walk rate, giving him the seventh best K-BB% (20.7%). His 3.55 SIERA is seventh as well. He also has a 3.1 fWAR, good for fifth among all starters.

Strasburg is having a good season, and has an outside chance at the Cy Young, in what is a poor year for starting pitching overall. However, he is far from healthy, which hurts his chances. He has a nerve impingement in his throwing elbow, which is, with his injury history, a very scary proposition.
