J.C. Ramirez, Los Angeles Angels

ESPN Ownership: 18.4%

J.C. Ramirez has actually spent parts of four seasons in the big leagues. His numbers aren’t terribly different from last season, but he’s managed to break the 100-inning barrier for the first time in 2017.

It’s not hard to get a distinct Garrett Richards vibe from Ramirez, either. He throws gas (95.6 mph average heater), induces grounders (49.7%) and has a 16% whiff rate on his slider. His curve ball isn’t much to speak of (8.2% swinging-strike rate), but at least gives him a third pitch to use as he attempts to get his foot in the Los Angeles Angels rotation.

With this kind of heat, a viable second pitch and worm burners to boot, there’s no reason Ramirez can’t break out in a huge way.
