Friday's slate isn't one I'm particularly interested in paying way up for pitching since there isn't a ton of excitement at the top-end of the pricing spectrum and some more interesting plays in the $8,000 range (numberFire's models project Brad Peacock as the day's top-scoring arm, and he's only $8,400). However, if you are paying up, Yu Darvish is a solid option.

His 3.85 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) is a significant drop off from where it was last year, but more importantly for fantasy purposes, he's still sporting a 26.2% strikeout rate and 11.9% swinging-strike rate.

The New York Mets aren't an especially good matchup, ranking below average in strikeout rate and above average in wRC+ against righties. Even though the Los Angeles Dodgers are only -126 favorites, the Mets' 3.58 implied total is one of the day's lowest marks.
