Willson Contreras, C, Chicago Cubs

As poorly as Julio Teheran has performed this season, he's still limiting righty bats to a 23.3% hard-hit rate. So even though we have Willson Contreras batting cleanup again -- a great spot for a catcher -- it's hard to rationalize paying his exorbitant salary. Contreras has a tougher time with right-handed pitching, striking out 29.6% of the time.

His overall hard-hit rate is trending in the right direction -- 37.4% since the start of June -- and he's beginning to hit the ball in the air more often, but he still has a 52.4% ground-ball rate on the season.

Contreras' improving batted-ball data is encouraging, but this isn't the matchup or price to roll him out.
