Carlos Asuaje, SS, San Diego Padres

FanDuel Price: $2,200

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Swiping four more bases on his way to a monster 39.4-FanDuel-point effort on Tuesday, Trea Turner is sure to be a popular choice. Combine that with facing John Lackey, who's struggled with a 4.74 ERA on the year, and Turner could be the chalky play at shortstop.

One player that's not likely to be as popular is Carlos Asuaje of the San Diego Padres. With only 43 big league plate appearances to his name, including just 18 this season, he may fly under the radar for many players.

Why You Should Use Him:

Asuaje has spent the majority of his career as a member of the Boston Red Sox organization, and hasn't really shown a ton of pop or speed.

What he has shown, though, is an extremely keen batting eye. In 277 plate appearances in Triple-A this year, he actually walked more (14.4%) than he struck out (11.9%). It also doesn't hurt that he's been usually batting second in the Padres' lineup recently.

He'll be facing struggling hurler Bartolo Colon, who's posted a career-worst walk rate of 6.2% in 2017 and allowed a .363 wOBA and .508 slugging percentage to lefties, making Asuaje a cheap pivot at shortstop.
