4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 6/19/17

Jose Bautista has one of the best matchups of the night, but should his recent play scare you away? Who else should you avoid in MLB DFS on Monday?

When Clayton Kershaw ($12,500) takes the mound and has by far the lowest implied team total on the slate (2.64), it's best not to overthink things. A hobbled New York Mets team shouldn't be any match for him.

But it's true that Kershaw, for as amazing as he is, hasn't been quite as dominant this year, so you can can certainly look elsewhere in tournaments. Corey Kluber ($10,300) has been on a roll since his return from the DL (although rain could be an issue), and Jon Lester ($9,900) could rack up some points against everyone's favorite punchout machine, the San Diego Padres.

On the other hand, if you want a boom-or-bust cheapie, Brad Peacock ($7,200) is your man, who has an eye-popping 35.6% strikeout rate, but know that he's only reached at least five innings once in five starts.

As always, during your research process, it's a good idea to narrow down your favorite plays to as short a list as possible before setting lineups. Here are four guys to consider eliminating on tonight's FanDuel main slate.
