4 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 5/12/17

The St. Louis Cardinals offense is one I'm going to be taking a close look at, as they take on Chicago Cubs righty Eddie Butler.
Playing his first three major league seasons with the Rockies hurt Butler's stats, but even looking at his skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), which is adjusted for park factors, the stats are not promising. He has a 5.06 SIERA over his career, and while 2016 saw him post a career-best in that category, it was still an unimpressive 4.53.
He posted a 1.17 ERA through five Triple-A games this year, but with a 13.7% strikeout rate, 6.5% walk rate and 5.11 xFIP in those games, there's still plenty of room for concern in his abilities.
Matt Carpenter should have little trouble taking advantage of this matchup. He has opened the year with a stellar .410 wOBA after posting a strong .375 mark in 2016. He is especially dangerous against right-handed pitching, with a .423 wOBA on a 41.7% hard-hit and 46.7% fly-ball rate this season.
