Two plays at the shortstop position seem likely to dominate the slate -- the Arizona Diamondbacks face lefty Matt Boyd, which means Nick Ahmed could continue to see time at the second spot in the order. Meanwhile, Corey Seager continues to mash and will get to face struggling Chad Kuhl at home.
Playing for a squad sporting a middling .316 wOBA is Tim Beckham, who's currently striking out 34.1% of the time.
Why You Should Use Him:
Beckham is earning the lion's share of playing time thanks to Matthew Duffy's injury, who still hasn't made his 2017 debut.
Even with that high strikeout rate, Beckham has been a very strong fantasy contributor. In 123 plate appearances, he's already hit 6 homers while posting a .216 ISO.
Beckham and crew will face Jason Hammel, who's had a hard time with same-sided righties this year. In 54 total batters faced, he's posted a .379 wOBA and .478 slugging percentage.
