There are a few high-priced studs on the slate, including three aces who are priced at $10,000 or above -- Jacob deGrom, Carlos Carrasco, and Jake Arrieta.
One mid-priced option who is in a great spot and could be lowly-owned is Charlie Morton of the Houston Astros. Morton logged only 17 1/3 innings in 2016 due to a torn hamstring, and he's been off the radar for many folks as he works his way back from that injury.
Why You Should Use Him:
Morton's return in 2016 was strong, but his start to 2017 has been even stronger.
Over 28 innings pitched, Morton has posted a robust 24.6% strikeout rate and 3.38 SIERA. Morton faces a plus matchup on the day -- he'll take on the Texas Rangers, who currently sport one of the lowest implied team totals on the slate (3.68 runs).
Morton has been buoyed by a jump in velocity, which is up nearly 4 miles per hour over last year. Morton makes for a sneaky play with big upside.
