Sometimes it's easy to forget that the oft-injured Drew Pomeranz can be quite good when on the mound. Last season, he had a 3.80 SIERA and a 26.5% strikeout rate.

While he's always shown a strong ability to strikeout lefties, he showed a great deal of improvement against right-handers last year, striking them out at an elite 28.0% rate.

So, despite having the platoon advantage against Pomeranz, the right-handed Adam Jones is in a tough spot. Furthermore, Jones has surprisingly struckout more often against southpaws, striking out at a 21.5% clip last year.

In all, there are better players to target at outfielder, particularly at Jones' rather high price point.
