Jacob deGrom isn't quite as big a favorite as Kluber is, with the New York Mets sporting a -136 moneyline, but this game has a very low over/under at 6.5, and that leaves the Washington Nationals with Friday's lowest-implied total (3.04).

deGrom has been phenomenal to start the season, with a 2.32 SIERA and a 30.6% strikeout rate -- which has come with a big 14.9% swinging strike rake.

Even if he cools down a bit from this hot start, his career 3.23 SIERA and 25.8% strikeout rate in his young career are very strong marks and inspire some confidence even against the dangerous bats of the Nationals, and our models project him as the top-scoring pitcher on the slate.
