If you're not paying all the way up for Syndergaard, Stephen Strasburg is a pretty strong consolation.

Strasburg's strikeout numbers aren't great so far, but he posted strikeout rates of 29.6% and 30.6% in his last two seasons, and three games (especially when his 10.6% swinging strike rate isn't far off from his 11.0% in 2016) isn't a big enough sample size to be particularly concerning.

His matchup isn't anything to write home about -- he's taking on an Atlanta Braves team that has a 20.8% strikeout rate and 98 wRC+ against right-handed pitching -- but the Washington Nationals are the second-biggest favorites of the day at -162. Strasburg's strikeout potential combined with that gives him both a solid floor and high ceiling.
