Adam Duvall, OF, Cincinnati Reds

FanDuel Price: $3,400

Last year, a trade to the Pittsburgh Pirates turned Ivan Nova's season around. After posting a 4.90 ERA with the New York Yankees to start the season, with the Pirates he put together a tidy 3.06 ERA supported by a 3.36 SIERA, 19.8% strikeout rate, and a stupidly small 1.1% walk rate.

Much of his success came against righty bats. Prior to the trade he had a 18.6% career strikeout rate against righties. In his 11 starts following it he struck out 25.3%. His ground-ball rate also jumped to 65.4%, up from an already excellent 50.7%. Even considering the small sample size, this doesn't look like a spot you want to mess with.

Adam Duvall had a .260 isolated power against right-handers last year, but had a 26.6% strikeout rate, and only walked 5.9% of the time. High strikeouts and low walks don't look like a recipe for success against Nova.

You should pass on Duvall today, and can even consider using Nova as your starting pitcher due to his reasonable price ($7,400).
