Donavan Tate, the third pick in the draft, was a disappointment and never made it to the big leagues in six years in two different big league systems. The highest level he played at was high-A, where he failed to show quite enough to be promoted up the ranks.
Much like Tate, Matt Hobgood was relegated to a minor league career and never played anything higher than AA ball. Spread across two different leagues in 2013, the righty posted a record of 9-4 but he still had an earned run average (ERA) of 4.32 and 72 strikeouts in 93.2 total innings.
Grant Green, on the other hand, made it to the show after four-plus minor league seasons. The issue is that he never did much when called upon in the majors. In 127 games, he totaled just four home runs on an average of .251 in 327 career at-bats.
