Danny Salazar, Cleveland Indians

Strikeouts aren't a problem for Danny Salazar. They never have been, and they certainly aren't this spring with 14 strikeouts in 45 batters faced.

But his nine walks? That could be an issue.

Salazar has made four starts this spring, and the good news is that those walks have largely come in just two of them. He walked three batters in two innings on March 2nd, and he issued four free passes in 2 1/3 innings in his next start. He did come out and whiff six with one walk on March 11th, but this should give us a bit of pause.

Whenever Salazar has struggled in the past, walks have usually been the culprit. His walk rate spiked to 10.8% in 2016, up from 7.0% in 2015. His strikeout rate was tremendous at 27.6%, but it's hard to be dominant with that many walks.

Salazar's 122.5 ADP is already baking in some risks, so he's likely not a guy we need to avoid right now. In fact, because that's so low, he may be worth buying at that price. But, we should be keeping an eye on his spring performances going forward to make sure he's got things reined in.
