8 Overvalued Players for Fantasy Baseball in 2017

With fantasy baseball drafts quickly approaching, which players are being valued too highly?

As the old saying goes, fantasy baseball value is in the eye of the beholder. At least, that's how I think the saying goes.

One owner's trash could very well be another's treasure, and while picking the right studs in the early rounds can help fortify a competitive club, it's normally those value picks later on -- along with waiver-wire acquisitions -- that end up taking a team from a playoff contender to winning a championship.

Each year, there are always players who seem to be getting valued much higher than expected across the industry, and this year is no different.

Now, being overvalued compared to others at their respective position doesn't mean that particular player is going to have a horrible year. It basically means the production that's being paid for can be had later on in the draft -- either slightly or much later -- allowing you to focus on other areas of your roster.

After taking a look at the average draft position (ADP) data from the National Fantasy Baseball Championship (NFBC), here are eight players currently being overvalued ahead of fantasy baseball draft season based on standard five-category production.
