Brad Miller, SS, Tampa Bay Rays

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Rookie sensation Trea Turner is on fire and is in an appealing righty-lefty matchup at Coors Field. As a result, Brad Miller will likely find himself playing second fiddle tonight in terms of ownership at the shortstop position.

Why You Should Use Him:

While Turner has been hot, Miller has been on quite a tear himself. Since July 26, Miller boasts a .489 wOBA, .785 slugging percentage, and .446 ISO. He launched homers number 21 and 22 in his most recent game and will look to carry his hot streak into tonight's game.

Miller and the Tampa Bay Rays draw a matchup against righty Luis Perdomo, who has his season ERA up to 6.80 after surrendering 6 runs in his most recent start. Vegas has Tampa Bay projected for 4.4 runs against Perdomo, so Miller should get plenty of opportunities for production. Given his splits against righties, it seems unlikely Miller lets those opportunities go to waste. Miller has seen his hard-hit rate jump from 20.9 percent against lefties to 35.2 percent against righties this season, while his slugging percentage has risen from .365 to .542.

Given his recent success and appealing matchup, Miller is an excellent pivot off of Turner, who will come at lower ownership and price. He's a viable play in all formats tonight.
