Gulfstream Park Horse Racing Picks for Wednesday 2/3/21

There are 10 races at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday. Which horses should you bet on at FanDuel Racing?

It's a great time to dive into horse racing, and FanDuel Racing gives you the chance to do just that.

Starting at 11:45 p.m. EST, we have 10 races at Gulfstream Park. Using numberFire’s projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets.

As always, check the program for scratches and changes, and check the weather and track conditions.

(I will reference Equibase's Speed Figure in selected races, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races -- adjusted for track, distances, and conditions.)

Nitro Time, Race 4

FanDuel Racing Odds: 5/2

Race 4 is an Allowance race for three-year-olds sprinting 5 furlongs on the Turf. The favorite. Etched in Stone (2/1), is the projected winner according to numberFire’s data. Jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. has the meet's top winning percentage (29%), and he debuts on the turf after winning on dirt at Hawthorne two months ago.

Guaranteed Tip Sheet also likes Etched in Stone to win and has the FanDuel Racing odds top challenger, Nitro Time (5/2), making it close. Nitro Time won his last race and improved to a best 95 speed figure. He was claimed by EPO trainer Joseph Saffie, Jr, and now goes for his third straight win after a 6-length front-running victory last month over this track.

R Adios Jersey, Race 8

FanDuel Racing Odds: 5/2

Race 8 is an Allowance race for state-bred three-year-old fillies sprinting 5 ½ furlongs. The top pick, according to numberFire’s algorithm, is Include the Beast (5/1), followed by the favorite in the outside No. 9 post, R Adios Jersey (5/2). Leading jockey Luis Saez rides the ‘Beast’ looking for his third straight win to start his career after a pace-pressing victory in mid-December. Include the Beast was claimed last race by new trainer Marcial Navarro.

R Adios Jersey set faster fractions when winning by 12 lengths in December as the even-money favorite. R Adios Jersey has come back with a pair of solid workouts and gets first-time Lasix. Daily Horse Picks pace projection rates him best in his second start with the meet's winningest jockey Edgard Zayas riding.

Hopeful Growth, Race 9

FanDuel Racing Odds: 2/1

Race 9 is the featured Allowance race for older fillies and mares racing 7 furlongs. The favorite Hopeful Growth (2/1) looks tough and is the top selection of numberFire. She’s run consistent mid-90’s speed figures her last three races, all graded stakes. Horse Racing Radar notes the classy daughter of Tapiture won at Monmouth Park and placed third last out in October after getting bumped but finishing willingly behind the favorite.

Finding Fame (7/2) is ridden by brother Jose Ortiz breaking from the outside No. 8 post for trainer Shug McGaughey. FanDuel Racing notes the lightly-raced four-year-old was two-for-two at Gulfstream last year and finished second in her other race last June at Belmont. She’s training sharply for her 2021 debut and should be included in exacta and trifecta wagering.
