This pick is risky for an entirely different reason. Wesley Matthews, after being bought out by the New York Knicks, quickly found a home with the Indiana Pacers, and he was promised a starting gig, which makes all the sense in the world for a team who had a massive hole to fill at shooting guard when Victor Oladipo's season was ended with an injury suffered on January 23.

Fortunately for the Pacers, Matthews has familiarity with his new coach Nate McMillan, whom he played for early in his career as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers. We don't yet know if he'll start tonight, but that looks to be the case, according to the Indianapolis Star.

The Pacers will play the Charlotte Hornets, a team who has given up the fourth-most FanDuel points per game to opposing shooting guards over their past 15 games, according to FantasyPros. We project Matthews to finish with 21.1 FanDuel points and return a touch more than 5.0 points per $1,000 this evening.
