Josh King, Forward, Bournemouth

Salary: $8,500

The forward position is full of expensive options in good form. Ayoze Perez ($12,500) has four goals in his last two matches, Gerard Deulofeu ($11,500) is only one game removed from a two-goal performance, the ever popular Wilfried Zaha ($11,500) is coming off a 30.3 FanDuel point performance against Arsenal, and Aleksander Mitrovic ($10,500) has three straight matches with over 20 FanDuel points. While it is difficult to determine how ownership will be spread amongst them, it is very likely that most lineups will spend up at the forward position.

That makes spending down a good move for tournaments. Selecting a forward for the largest underdog on the slate is usually an ill-advised move. However, on this tightly contested slate, Bournemouth is only a slight underdog and is certainly capable of getting a result. King has been less productive this year than in past seasons but has still had his fair share of excellent performances. He has three matches with multiple goals this season and should be one of the lowest owned forwards on the slate.

Bournemouth has been inconsistent all season and their recent form is no exception. They crushed Brighton by five goals before being shutout by Fulham last weekend. Through all of it, their finishing has been a bright spot, and their 49 goals scored is the ninth most in the Premier League. Southampton, despite their recent string of good results, has struggled to keep clean sheets. They have allowed 26 goals in 17 home matches, the sixth most in the Premier League, and don't present a daunting challenge for King and Bournemouth this weekend despite being the largest favorite on the slate.
