Nathan Ake, Defender, Bournemouth

Salary: $7,000

Ake is tied with two other defenders as the highest-priced player at the position, and he has averaged 16.69 FanDuel points this season. Ake has failed to reach his season-long average in two-straight matches, averaging 12.35 FanDuel points over that span.

Bournemouth are a slight favorite over the Clarets, who have have a 73% chance of scoring at least one goal, according to oddsmakers, a feat they have accomplished in three of their last four matches away from Turf Moor, and the match has a 53.7% chance of totaling over 2.5 goals.

If the Cherries do relinquish a goal (something they have done in three-straight home matches), Ake may have a hard time producing as the top-priced defender, as Burnley does not relinquish a large number of defensive actions on the road. They have allowed the third-fewest clearances (20.25), fewest tackles (13.19), fewest blocked shots (1.81) and fewest interceptions (8.06) per road match on this slate.

As the top-priced defender on the slate, Ake is a risky option against a Burnley squad that does not produce a large number of defensive statistics while Harry Maguire ($6,000) and the Huddersfield defenders should offer better value in all formats
