Jamie Vardy, Forward, Leicester City

Salary: $12,000

Vardy is tied with Wilfried Zaha as the top-priced forward on the slate, and he has averaged 17.85 FanDuel points this season. Vardy, who is in great form, has scored five goals over his last five matches, scoring over 21 FanDuel points in four of those matches, and averaging 27.62 FanDuel points over that span.

The Foxes are the favorite over the table bottom-dwellers, and the match has a 53.7% chance of totaling under 2.5 goals, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The Terriers have conceded the fifth-most goals on their home pitch this season while the Foxes have scored fewer than two goals in three of their last four road matches, and they have a 86.7% chance of finding the back of the net.

Vardy, who oddsmakers give a 54.5% chance of scoring a goal, will likely come with massive ownership, and a player with that high of ownership is always worth taking a look at fading -- or at the very least, limiting exposure to -- in large-field tournaments.

Despite producing the second-most shots on target (1.38) per road match on this slate, Vardy is outside of the top-15 in shots in road matches, sitting 17th with 1.99 per road match. Vardy’s opponent will obviously play a role in his ownership, but compared to other teams on the slate Huddersfield doesn't seem to be quite as bad, statistically, as their record shows. They have allowed the second-fewest shots (13) on this slate while conceding the third-fewest shots (10.75) per home match.

Clearly Vardy offers great upside, especially against Huddersfield, and we certainly can't rule out the possibility of a two-goal game, but at high ownership, anything short of that will make a fade at least reasonable, while you'll be in a great spot if he can't find the back of the net.

Salamon Rondon ($10,500) and Ayoze Perez ($10,000) are both viable alternatives in a plus matchup, as Palace have allowed the second-most shots (15.88) per road match on this slate.
