Marcos Alonso, Defender, Chelsea

Salary: $7,000

Alonso is tied with two other players as the highest-priced defender on the slate, and he has averaged 17.16 FanDuel points this season -- the highest average among the three top-priced defenders. Alonso has scored more than 20 FanDuel points three times while scoring fewer than 10 FanDuel points in three matches, and he's averaging 7.7 FanDuel points over the last two matchweeks.

The Wolves have a 67.7% chance of scoring at least one goal, a feat they have accomplished in three of their last four matches. Both clubs are in the top-10 of overall possession, but the Blues should have the edge in that category as they maintain 62.9% of the overall possession compared to 47.3% for the Wolves.

Alonso is generally rostered for his ability to produce in the Blues’ attack -- including his free-kick prowess -- as he does not have matches where he produces a large number of defensive actions. The Wolves have allowed the sixth-fewest crosses (235) and fourth-fewest chances created (99) to all positions this season while allowing the fewest crosses (1.57) and ninth-fewest chances created to defenders (0.39) per 90 minutes since Matchweek 10.

For DFS players who are looking to roster an attacking defender, Kieran Trippier is priced $500 cheaper than Alonso and should see similar -- if not a greater -- opportunity in the attack with Spurs in a more favorable spot.
