Despite so many heavy-hitting clubs on the slate, it's not a great day for high-priced defenders, with the top-end of the position being dinged by Benjamin Mendy's injury. That may cause the masses to pay down at defender, making Alonso a sneaky-good GPP play.

Alonso has thrived in Sarri-ball, getting a license to roam forward in Chelsea's new system. He's averaging 1.8 shots and 66.1 passes per match, and he's displayed a superb floor recently. Despite no goals and merely one assist over his last six games, Alonso has put up at least 15 FanDuel points five times in that span. And his free-kick duties give a boost to both his floor and ceiling.

The Tottenham-Chelsea matchup is Saturday's headline fixture, and it's listed as a pick'em with a 2.5-goal over/under. With so many big names in the game, it'll get its fair share of attention in DFS. But it's tough to know how to attack it. Unlikely to be super popular, Alonso could be a GPP-winning play if he produces a ceiling game.
