Gunnarsson looks set to make his first start of the season in Crystal Palace's best matchup of the campaign. Fulham have allowed the most goals in the league, four more than any other team. They have lost three of their last four, allowing at least three goals in each of the defeats. Fulham also allow just over 16 shots per game, third-worst in the league.

Gunnarsson is the heart of the Cardiff midfield when healthy. He is often the one charged with starting an offensive maneuver after Cardiff win the ball. His main value comes from his defensive contribution as Gunnarsson has averaged over six defensive actions per match in each of the last two seasons. His ceiling grows in this game given Fulham's porous defense. He should find extra time on the ball, space for shots from distance, and bigger passing lanes to lead his teammates to good scoring opportunities.
