Gylfi Sigurdsson, Midfielder, Everton

Salary: $9,500

Sigurdsson is the top-priced midfielder, but he's tied for the sixth-highest priced player on the slate -- as most of the top midfielders are not on the slate -- and he has averaged 21.8 FanDuel points this season, the second-highest average among all midfielders priced at or above $8,500. Sigurdsson has scored three goals in his last three matches while averaging 33.9 FanDuel points over that span.

The Toffees are underdogs against the Foxes as they have a 31.1% win probability compared to Leicester’s 45.5% implied win odds, according to Paddy Power. The Foxes have won four of their first seven matches, have lost to only clubs currently in the top-10 of the table and have conceded at least one goal in two of their three matches at King Power Stadium.

Sigurdsson takes the majority of the Toffees’ set pieces, which always gives him a good chance to contribute on the scoresheet. But the Foxes have not allowed a large number off attacking statistics this season. They have allowed the seventh-fewest crosses (114), fourth-fewest shots (66) and third-fewest chances created (46) to all positions while allowing the seventh-most crosses (2.56), fourth-fewest shots (0.89) and third-fewest chances created (0.74) per 90 minutes to midfielders/attacking-midfielders this season.

While Sigurdsson has shown he offers a high-ceiling, his three performances of more than 20 FanDuel points have come against clubs currently in the bottom seven of Premier League table, and he has a 25% chance of scoring, according to Paddy Power, against the Foxes, who currently sit in eighth. Of the three top-priced midfielders, Sigurdsson’s anytime goal-scoring odds are the lowest while DFS players could find value in the Tottenham match if Christian Eriksen is ruled out.
