Kante’s FanDuel output has decreased every week since Matchweek 1, when he scored 26.5 FanDuel points and scored his only goal of the season. Kante’s role has changed under Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system, which allows him to be more involved in the Blues’ attack than he was last season, but that involvement has only led to 1 shot per 90 minutes – an increase of 0.25 shots per 90 minutes from the previous season.

The Blues enter Saturday’s match with an implied win probability of 87.5% -- the second largest favorite on the slate -- and have a 52.4% chance of scoring 3 or more goals. Being such a large favorite, Kante may not see the normal defensive actions that increase his floor as the Bluebirds have allowed the eighth-fewest tackles (1.6) and fewest interceptions (0.27) per 90 minutes to midfielders. DFS players will have to rely on attacking statistics from the Frenchman, which may limit his ceiling if he does not find the back of the net.

In a match that is projected to be fairly one-sided, Kante, although capable of scoring a goal, does not offer a high ceiling in a match that is unlikely to offer a large number of defensive statistics, and the other Chelsea attackers look to be much better options if you want exposure to this game.
