0Robert Chum Li (500 Reputation Points)I am surprised by the two way effort of Melo. I don't think the effort of any other knick was in question though. That being said, it is far too early in the season. Wait until December until we can make a judgement as to whether the Knicks maintain their solid defensive rotations or not, because, essentially, that is what is keeping them in the game. I do not believe their 3PT % will hold up over the long term. It will probably regress below 40% in the near future, but they have kept opponents to 85 PPG, which would make them the stingiest defense in the NBA right now. But, as I said, that remains to be seen whether that effort will hold over 82 games. I am expecting history will assert itself and they will move closer towards 98 PPG towards the end of the season
