I think I can get Richardson for Gore or Bush
The coach with Richardson seems to be severely undervaluing him. Should I see if I can get him for either Gore or Bush? Which of Gore or Bush do you value less?EDIT WITH RESPONSE:
I just went fantasy-crazy and did the math on their match up schedules down the stretch versus the RB-defense ranking of their opponents. I give a positive mark for each defense ranked in the worst 12 (except the Ravens because I don't believe that rank), and a negative mark for each defense in the top 10 (except Miami because I don't believe that rank).
Points:
a) Gore has 5 bad weeks, including 2 in the playoffs, with only 1 good week.
b) Bush has 5 bad weeks, including 2 in the playoffs, but 4 good weeks in a row directly following his bye week to get healthy, and 2 good weeks in the playoffs.
c) Richardson has 2 bad weeks and 2 good weeks, one of each in the playoffs, as I'm not counting this week's match up due to injury.
So comparing their weeks against my other (starting) backs, I'd most benefit from:
1) Bush in weeks 9 and 16.
2) Gore in week 14.
3) Richardson in week 11.
4) Either Gore or Richardson in week 13.
This leads me to value Bush higher than Gore, considering my other backs and the weeks I'd need him (including the playoffs). Richardson and Gore seem like a wash on match ups, and:
A) Gore plays for a team that might sit their stars by the end of the season.
B) Gore traditionally loses carries as the season goes on and/or gets injured/fatigued.
C) Richardson is performing better already on a team that needs him more.
THEREFORE, IN CONCLUSION, GIVEN MY UNIQUE SITUATION:
I think Gore for Richardson would be a good trade, while Bush for Richardson might be a good deal or a wash, but Bush's value is likely to increase in the immediate future following his bye and 4 weeks of great match ups, while Richardson's may continue to diminish until he is fully healed.
Phew. Okay, I'm obviously nuts.

I can't see myself ever playing Bush over Morris and Forte, but Richardson has put up bigger performances when he's healthy.
