Questions
Would you offer Megatron for RGIII?
10 team league. Standard scoring. I also own Cam Newton and Alex Smith, Pierre Garcon, Eric Decker, Rob Gronkowski, Michael Crabtree. The guy that owns RGIII also owns Andy Dalton and Mike Vick

Big points don't matter as much as it would seem. In getting RGIII you would gain 10 ppg on average over Newton (not counting week 5 for RGIII due to injury), but lose 7 ppg on average from Megatron to Crabtree. Having said that, the Lions seem to be finding their groove again on offense and the drop off from Megatron to Decker or Garcon is pretty major, especially seeing as Garcon has a tendency to get hurt and Crabtree doesn't put up big numbers. By comparison, Newton is still serviceable (13th among QBs while already having his bye) and RGIII's schedule is about to get a lot harder. Not only that, I don't expect RGIII to be able to stay healthy for the rest of the season with the pounding he's been taking, he just doesn't have the build to take the hits (If you need an example, please see Vick, Michael). I wouldn't do this trade because your WR depth would be gone and I don't know how much longer RGIII will outplay Newton.

Thank you! Your analysis makes excellent sense rather than just say "No". Never mind that I picked the worst possible waiver wire pickup for Newton this week in Alex Smith :-)

I started him in 1 of my leagues in place of Brees, so I understand your pain. And I'm here to help, and I like to back up what I say with stats

Thomas said it perfectly, Megatron is going to get his #'s. It's just a matter of time.

Usually though there is someone on the QB WW who can fill in each week, depending on matchups. Megatron seems a bit steep for RG3. And it would leave your WR pretty thin.

I personally wouldn't. That would make you pretty thin at WR.

But right now, I'm pretty thin at QB, a position where the potential for big points is much more likely if you have the right guy.

Newton will come around, maybe.. I'd rather stick with Newton and have a stud WR1 in Megatron.

I have both so no.. but it depends on current QB and who you have for depth at WR!! but with who you have listed at WR after megatron, I think this would hurt you to much.

I think I'd hold off..RG3 gets a lot of his points real late in games and I simply don't know/think he can keep it up, personally.
