Questions
How do I make more RB's available in my league next season?
I manage a sixteen team keepers league w/slightly altered scoring and a roster setting of: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex, K, D/ST. There are literally no RB's available through the waiver wire and have'nt been. As soon as a A.Brown, A.Green, T.Choice, W.Powell comes up the top waiver numbers snatch them up. I need to find a way to get more RB's out there. I do not want to make it a PPR league. Also, I've thought about limiting the RB roster amount and changing the flex spot to a 3rd WR. Do you think this would help? Any idea's, thoughts, comments...

lots of possible solutions such as what has been mentioned...what about making the flex a wr/te flex? If you like a lot of scoring, some leagues even offer a flex with any offensive player including a qb---not my thing, but that would change the dynamic of the lg....I like it when the waiver wire #1 is important, but i know what you are saying...You could cut the league down, but if the 16 you got is a good mix then you dont want to do that.

I get it. I also like the whole worst to first waiver wire deal...more like the real thing and evens things out some. It's the 2nd year for the league and last season we had a lot of owners who did not pay attention to their team and this year we have very active owners, so cutting down not a option. But you gave me some things to consider. Thanks!

Changing the flex to WR3 would work, as would limiting the number of RBs on one team. You could also add scoring for return yardage, which would add value to backs like Joe McKnight, making them ownable.

I score return yards so as you said guys like J.McKnight, F.Jones, L. Stephens-Howling, etc...do get some points on those dreaded bye weeks. But, I'd still like to get even more RB's into the pool.

RBs are always going to be scarce in a 16 team league no matter what you do to the settings, so there is no perfect solution. I think the best option would be to change the flex to just a WR3 spot. You could also make the requirements to be eligible at RB very loose, needing only a few snaps. This could free up a few more players to be eligible at RB, but probably wouldn't help all that much.

Thanks! It's only six weeks into this season and I'm already stressin' over something thats a year away. I think a combination of the above ideas would at the very least help.

U do a 3 wr and wr/te flex so more wr are needed and also put ppr. There is a big demand cause each team will need a min 3 rb at the position in case of byes and injuries. I always get 5 tho so if you avg that 16x4=64 rbs needed. Also dilute the rushing value to 15 rush yard/carry and make it fractional
