Rate my Mock Draft
10 team, standard scoring/lineups. I pick 8th. One of those rare ESPN mocks where no one was on autodraft until round 13, so I figured I'd post here and get some feedback. For this mock, I went with a strict "best player available" strategy. This ended up with me picking nothing but WR's and RB's through the first 10 rounds...

QB: T. Brady, C. Palmer
RB: C. Anderson, J. Hill, A. Morris, L. Murray, A. Foster
WR: B. Cooks, A. Cooper, J. Landry, A. Robinson, C. Johnson, D. Adams
TE: T. Eifert
K: S. Hauschka
DST: Cincinnati

At first, I was pretty unhappy with the fact that an opportunity didn't present itself to get a top-tier WR...but, as the draft went on, I got enough guys who I think will make a more than serviceable platoon for my WR2 slot. I'm really loving the Brady/Palmer combo, as well, and I gun for it in almost every mock I do. Same with picking up Foster in the 9th/10th. I will say one thing, though...I'm glad I'm drafting in a couple of weeks, because the air is getting VERY thin at RB in the 1st round. This was a rare mock in which CJ fell to me at 8 (people chose Gronk and Brown at 6 & 7 for some reason)

Even despite the lack of elite WR talent, I think I would be pretty stoked if this was my real team. What do you guys think? Also...if necessary, talk me off this Eifert ledge...I'm a Bengals fan, so I'm reading a ton of stuff about him that doesn't really make its way to mainstream news...and there is a LOT that is pointing to him having a great season. He is basically uncoverable in the routes he runs because of his size and athleticism, and he's been doing a great job getting YAC...given Andy Dalton's propensity to panic, Eifert as an always-open dump should lead to some respectable numbers, I'm thinking...not sure on TD's though. Either way...thoughts?

You're certainly set on RBs which is never a bad thing, and I've heard enough positive things about Eifert to be satisfied with him as my TE. Ultimately, unless you're getting Gronk or maybe Graham, TE isn't a position that's gonna make or break your year. The WRs are a concern to me, though. Cooks could be great this year but he was also wildly inconsistent last year and if you have him as your WR1 you're gonna need solid production. Between Cooper, Landry and Robinson you've got enough depth and if you play the match-ups you can probably get by with them. Overall a pretty strong team to me and you've got plenty of all-important RB insurance if one of your top guys gets hurt, but a lack of solid WR production could end up killing you.
