Opine on this WR Trade
My league is 1 PPR. The team with Welker is running thin because of injuries and I have WR depth, so he sent me two offers:

- Welker for Colston + Danario Alexander
- Welker for Colston + Hakeem Nicks

Accepting one of these trades would give me a starting rotation of Megatron, Cruz, Welker, and whoever I kept between Danario and Nicks with a bench of Cecil Shorts and Malcom Floyd.

I wouldn't part w/Nicks. If you're going to make the trade, I'd give him colston and Danario.

Definitely do the trade. Welker is far superior to Colston in a PPR. It really doesn't matter who you give up since neither Alexander or Nicks will ever start for you. And either way, you'll have 2 WRs from one team (either the Giants or the Chargers). If you choose to keep Alexander, then drop Floyd. In fact, drop Floyd anyway. With your WRs, you dont need a 6th that you'll never play.

Nicks and Alexander both have tough finishes. I'd probably keep Alexander since you're already starting Cruz every week, but Nicks is probably the better of the two. Alexander is also a bigger gamble. It doesn't matter which one you keep and which one you trade. The point is to upgrade from Colston to Welker. Even with cutting Floyd, you'll still have two great backups behind your big three.

How many WRs do you start each week?

I start four WRs ( 3 + flex). Nicks or Alexander would be my flex with Welker, Megatron, and Cruz as my WRs. Thanks

I guess you're weak at RB? It comes down to how comfortable you are starting both Giants. If you're okay with starting Nicks as your 4th, then trade Alexander. If you dont like starting two WRs from the same team, then trade Nicks.

Actually, keep Nicks. Trade Alexander. Here's why. For this week, you'd rather have Nicks against NO than Alexander @ Pit, even with Cruz already in your lineup. Then for the next two weeks, Shorts will be your #4 WR anyway. He has good matchups, and has been a top 15 WR. So for the final weeks, you'd start Megatron, Welker, Shorts, and then whichever NY WR you feel will do better. So trade Colston and Alexander for Welker.

My RB2 spot might as well be empty because I'm balancing Shonn Greene and Dwyer. I have been starting Cruz and Nicks weekly. I have a bye this week, so it's only weeks 15-16 I'm considering.

Oh, then definitely trade Alexander. Sucks about the RB2 spot. I've been there more times than I'd like to remember. Neither have horrible matchups in week 15/16, and it seems that Pittsburgh has committed to Dwyer. Also, getting Roethlisberger back should help Dwyer. You'll find out this weekend.
