Columbus Blue Jackets

Players to target: Artemi Panarin, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Cam Atkinson

The top line for the Columbus Blue Jackets draws an excellent home matchup against the Detroit Red Wings checking line, a group that ranks near the top of the league in terms of the most chances allowed and goals surrendered over the last six contests (3.30 goals per game yielded on the road). The third line allows more than 38 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes and almost 15 High-Danger Chances per 60. There could also be some power-play possibilities as the Red Wings' penalty kill is among the slate's worst tonight (77.2% on the road).

Detroit has won three straight games in the last week. Detroit may try to mix their bottom six to go up against Florida's top line, and that is something to watch for. Columbus has a chance to clinch a playoff spot tonight with a win and a Florida loss of any kind. They should go all out. This line also has full correlation on the top power-play unit for the Blue Jackets.

The over/under for this game is set at 5.5 with Columbus installed as a -250 favorite on the moneyline, so there should be a good amount of action. Columbus's implied total is currently at 3.45. Finally, if money is a bit of an issue, watch for Columbus' second line -- Thomas Vanek, Alexander Wennberg, and Boone Jenner have produced 10 real-world points in the last week.
