Minnesota Wild

Players to target: Nino Niederreiter, Mikko Koivu, and Mikael Granlund

The Minnesota Wild have gone full blender mode on their lines, but they may like what they have fixed up here with their new-look top line. In a small sample, this line has a 73.7 Corsi For percentage, a 63.4 Corsi For per 60 minutes, and 3.2 expected Goals For per 60 minutes.

What makes this line a great play is that they will avoid the Matthews line and instead get the Nazem Kadri, which isn't an amazing matchup, but certainly one they can overcome. Niederreiter, Koivu, and Granlund all have individual Corsi For per 60 minutes over 13 and all get top power play time, making them a highly correlated line with a lot of upside should the Toronto Maple Leafs find themselves in the penalty box tonight.
