Minnesota Wild

Players to target: Nino Niederreiter, Eric Staal, and Zach Parise

Two nights ago, this line dominated a solid defensive team in the Carolina Hurricanes, posting a combined eight points. In their time together, the advanced stats also say they have been dominant, accounting for 71.9 Corsi For per 60 minutes, 14.2 Scoring Chances For per 60 minutes, and a 63.6 Corsi For percentage.

A matchup against the Colorado Avalanche hasn't been great lately -- they have limited shots on goal -- but the Minnesota Wild's top line will have a great matchup according to possession stats. They should see a lot of Nathan MacKinnon's line, which has been the Avs' best offensive line, but also their worst defensive line.

MacKinnon, Sven Andrighetto, and Mikko Rantanen are allowing 64 Corsi Against per 60 minutes and a 47.1 Corsi For percentage. If the even-strength matchup isn't good enough for you, the Avalanche kill penalties at one of the worst rates in the league (76.4 percent) and each of these players will get power play time in some fashion.
