Carlos Hyde the favorite to start in Week 1 for Cleveland
Cleveland Browns running back Carlos Hyde is the favorite to open the season as the starting running back, per Tony Grossi of ESPN Clevaland.
Hyde was signed in the offseason to a 3-year, $15M deal to be the starter but after drafting Nick Chubb in the second round of the NFL Draft, the picture became a little murky. As it stands now, Hyde looks like he will start the season as the early-down back with Duke Johnson handling third-downs and passing downs and Chubb spelling Hyde from time to time.
Our models project Hyde for 866.4 rushing yards, 218.0 receiving yards, and 6.2 total touchdowns in 2018.
