Dolphins' Jarvis Landry signs franchise tender for $15.9 million
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry signed his franchise tender on Thursday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Landry's one-year deal will carry a cap hit of $15.982 million this season. Him signing means that the Dolphins can't rescind the tag, even in the event that they can't trade the 25-year-old wideout. A trade is "not imminent" and the Dolphins are over the cap, making them an unlikely suitor for free agents.
In his first 4 seasons, Landry has averaged 100.3 catches, 1,010 yards and 5.5 touchdowns while appearing in all 64 games.
