Arizona Cardinals hire Steve Wilks as their next head coach
The Arizona Cardinals have hired former Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks as the next head coach.

He was a defensive backs coach for Carolina since 2012 and has spent time with the Chicago Bears and San Diego Chargers in a similar role before that. He replaces Bruce Arians who retired after 5 seasons with Arizona.
The Cardinals finished 2017 with an 8-8 record while owning the 16th-best overall nERD rating. Their defense ranked 30th and their offense 6th, according to our metrics.
