Dolphins indicate Jay Cutler (concussion) will remain starter if available

Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler (concussion) will remain the starter against the New England Patriots if he's healthy, head coach Adam Gase suggested on Monday.

What It Means:

"Obviously him being in concussion protocol, I don't know how long this will be," Gase said. "Jay's really done everything I've asked him to do. So there's no reason for me to say he's not [the starter]." Matt Moore threw for 282 yards and 1 touchdown in Week 11 after replacing Cutler, who threw for 83 yards with 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions in one half of football during the 30-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite the difference, Gase seems to remain committed to Cutler.

Across nine games this season, Cutler has completed 64.6 percent of his passes for 1,602 yards with 13 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He's averaging 12.1 FanDuel points per contest.
