Deonte Thompson hauls in first Bills touchdown on Thursday night
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Deonte Thompson caught 7 passes on 10 targets for 81 yards and 1 touchdown in a 34-21 Week 9 loss to the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football.
It was Thompson's second touchdown of the season, but his first since being signed by the Bills on October 18 following a release from the Chicago Bears. He's now topped 80 yards in two-of-three contests, but with Kelvin Benjamin expected to make his Buffalo debut against the New Orleans Saints in Week 10, Thompson is unlikely to maintain consistent production.
Thompson finished with 17.6 FanDuel points in Week 9 after our models projected him for only 6.0 on Thursday night versus the Jets. On the season, he's up to 23 catches for 318 yards and 2 touchdowns on 33 targets across eight games for both the Bills and Bears.
