Jets sign quarterback Tyrod Taylor to 2-year deal on Tuesday
The New York Jets have agreed to a two-year contract with quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
What It Means:
After New York's owner Woody Johnson stated in February his team needs a viable backup quarterback, Taylor will stay in New York and join his former team's crosstown rivals. Look for Taylor to operate as the Jets' second-string quarterback while New York looks to move on from Zach Wilson.
On 180 attempts last season, Taylor ranked 23rd among his position with a 71.4 Pro Football Focus rating while producing 116 completions for 5 touchdowns and 1341 yards.
