Bills' Deonte Thompson expected to turn in another dud on Thursday
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Deonte Thompson is tied as numberFire's 56th-ranked fantasy option at his position for Week 9 against the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football.
Thompson turned 13 targets into 9 catches and 151 receiving yards between Weeks 6-7, but he fell back to earth last Sunday with just 1 catch (1 target) for 5 yards. The Jets rank among the bottom-10 teams in the league in terms of fantasy points allowed per game to opposing wide receivers this season, but following the Bills' acquisition of Kelvin Benjamin on Tuesday, Thompson is unlikely to see enough volume to warrant fantasy consideration outside of extremely deep formats.
numberFire's models have Thompson pegged for 4.1 FanDuel points at a cost of $4,900 in Week 9. We expect him to finish with just 1.4 catches for 21.9 yards and 0.21 touchdowns on 2.1 targets tonight versus the Jets.
