Broncos unwilling to name starting quarterback for Week 9
Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph remains noncommittal on his starting quarterback for Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
"It's my job to do what's best for the football team, and that's what I will do," Joseph said. After a brilliant start in the first two games of the season, Trevor Siemian has been nothing short of awful since then. Paxton Lynch (shoulder) has already been ruled out of consideration for Week 9 starting duties, so it looks like Brock Osweiler could draw his first start of the 2017 season.
Siemian is averaging 14.8 FanDuel points per game this season while completing 152-of-247 passes for 1,669 yards with 9 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Among the 29 quarterbacks with at least 200 dropbacks this season, his -0.08 Passing Net Expected Points per dropback rank fourth-worst.
