Chris Thompson to start for Washington versus 49ers
Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson will start against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, reports NFL insider Adam Caplan.
Caplan says it's only for the first play of the game, but with Rob Kelley (ankle) inactive and rookie Samaje Perine failing to produce much on the ground, Thompson figures to see a few more touches versus the 49ers in Week 6. He's averaging 11.1 yards per offensive touch this season while scoring a touchdown in every game but one.
numberFire's models project Thompson to score 7.8 FanDuel points at a cost of $6,000 in Week 6. He's the RB37 in our standard weekly fantasy rankings and the RB34 for PPR formats.
