Browns release Calvin Pryor after fight with teammate

The Cleveland Browns waived defensive back Calvin Pryor.

What It Means:

The 2014 first-round pick was acquired from the New York Jets in June, but he didn't last until Week 1 after reportedly getting into a fight with wide receiver Ricardo Louis at practice. Derrick Kindred and rookie Jabril Peppers will serve as the Browns' top safeties against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Pryor recorded 48 tackles, deflected 6 passes, and forced a fumble last season for the Jets.
