Brock Osweiler reaches deal with Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos and Brock Osweiler have agreed to a one-year deal worth $775,000, pending a physical.

What It Means:

A day after being cut by the Cleveland Browns, Osweiler will head back to the Broncos, who drafted the Arizona State product 57th overall in 2012. Osweiler is expected to serve as Trevor Siemian's backup until Paxton Lynch recovers from a shoulder injury that is expected to keep him out for up to a month.

Among quarterbacks with at least 500 pass attempts in 2016, Osweiler ranked last in our Net Expected Points per pass metric at -0.05.
